Mouthguard specialist OPRO renews its licensing agreement with Gaelic Athletic Association and Gaelic Players Association

OPRO, the name behind some of the most advanced sports mouthguards, has renewed its official licensing agreement with the Gaelic Athletic Association and Gaelic Players Association.

The firm has had a partnership with the GAA and GPA since 2013 and, as part of the new agreement, has been granted the rights for a further five years.

OPRO will also provide custom-fit mouthguards to the elite players across 32 countries.

OPRO chief executive officer, David Allen, said: “We are honoured to be partnered with two of Ireland’s biggest and most iconic organisations. At OPRO, providing the most comfortable, best fitting and reliable mouthguards is our passion and we are delighted to extend our partnership with the GAA and GPA.”

GAA commercial director, Peter McKenna, added: “Rarely has the need to mouthguards and dental safety been more apparent than it currently is and for that reason, we are pleased to partner with a company such as OPRO, who are experts in their field.

“Our initial partnership proved to be beneficial for all concerned and we look forward to offering more of the same high-quality products to our players in the month and years ahead.”

With over 20 years’ experience, OPRO is dedicated to bringing leading technology and safety to athletes at all levels of sport and is the official mouthguard partner for a number of professional sporting organisations, including the UFC, Hockey Ireland, Northern Ireland Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Great Britain Taekwondo, England Rugby, New Zealand Rugby and Australia Rugby.

Seamus Hickey of the GPA concluded: “We are delighted to announce our extended partnership with OPRO. The safety and welfare of our members across the country provided with custom fit mouthguards, is a relationship that we are proud to continue.”
