Music from Downton Abbey to take place at Highclere Castle ahead of film release next year

Downton Abbey is heading to the proms. Well, almost.

Highclere Castle, the set of the popular ITV series is to host a special concert celebrating the music of the series.

The event will be hosted by Jim Carter – known for his role as Mr Carson in the series – and will feature music performed by the Chamber Orchestra of London.

Carter will take audiences on a journey back over some of the most significant events that took place within the six series run of the show with clips and montages from the series to show the lives, loves and losses.

Music from Downton Abbey will take place on June 22, 2019 and tickets will be available from December 14th at 9am.

Next year will also see the release of the much anticipated big screen outing for the Crawleys and their servants with the first film bowing in 2019.
