Da Vinci's Virgin on the Rocks, Monet's The Water-Lily Pond and Van Gogh's Sunflowers all to feature in new collection.

National Gallery signs SEB UK for linen prints

The National Gallery Company has appointed SEB UK Limited to produce a range of linen-textured box prints of some of the Gallery’s most iconic paintings.

SEB UK is the designer and patent holder of Ubox reproductions, a high-end alternative to traditional box prints.

In its partnership with the National gallery, the firm will launch a range of 42 reproductions from the Gallery, including The Virgin on the Rocks by Leonardo da Vinci, The Water-Lily Pond by Claude Monet and Sunflowers and A Wheatfield, with Cypresses by Van Gogh.

The collection will launch in the National Gallery shops onsite and online in May 2015. The national launch will start at Top Drawer in September and reproductions will be available in UK department stores, royal palaces, garden centres and specialist retailers, as well as selected stores in Europe.

“Adapting some of the world’s greatest paintings to a high-quality, durable and eco-friendly format for easy home assembly and display is a big challenge for any company,” said Judith Mather, buying and merchandise director at the National Gallery.

“We are therefore delighted to be working with SEB, who have been able to meet and exceed our expectations.”
