Netflix will launch the DreamWorks Animation-produced series Trollhunter, which will be headed up by filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.

Netflix and DreamWorks Animation detail new Trollhunter series

Netfllix and DreamWorks Animation have announced an expansion of its content agreement, adding more original series to its portfolio.

The new deal will also see DreamWorks content reach markets outside of China.

Netflix will launch various DreamWorks-produced series, including Trollhunter, which will be headed up by filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, as well as a revamped version of the Voltron franchise.

In addition, the deal will extend the rights of current series that are aired on Netflix.

The deal will also include second-window rights for several series around the world, including The Adventures of Puss in Boots, Dragons: Race to the Edge and Dinotrux.

Ann Daly, president of DreamWorks, said: “This agreement adds to the incredible foundation we’ve built together with Netflix over a number of years across both film and television,” reports Variety
