Netflix and Nintendo working on The Legend of Zelda series

Netflix is in the early stages of developing an adventure-fantasy live-action series based on Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is currently working closely with Nintendo on the new series and is still seeking a writer.

The Legend of Zelda first arrived from video game publisher, Nintendo in 1987 and has since enjoyed a successful portfolio of video game titles for Nintendo consoles over its history.

The firm has also released a handful of official adaptations, among them a 1989 animated series that lasted for one season, and several comic books.

Netflix is becoming increasingly renowned for rebooting popular franchises, and the TV and film platform is currently working on an adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and has a deal with marvel for multiple live-action series based on its comic book universe.
