With the World of Avatar set to open in May, producers have revealed that guests will be ‘transferred light-years away’.
The all-new land will immerse attendees in the magical world of Avatar, which will boast floating mountains and bioluminescent rainforests.
"When guests come across the bridge, they are transferred light-years away, to the Alpha-Centauri solar system and Pandora," said Jon Landau, Avatar producer at Lightstorm Entertainment.
"It’s an otherworldly, fully-themed experience."
Guests to Disney’s Animal Kingdom will make the journey across the park’s Discovery River into Pandora, where they will get a glimpse of waterfalls, as well as two expeditions: Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey.
Windtraders, the on-site store, will also offer fans a range of Na’vi cultural items, toys, science kits and more for fans to enjoy.
Joe Rohde, portfolio creative executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, added: “We are taking our guests on a journey to this world in an experience that’s as realistic and immersive as possible.
"In the movie, the world of Pandora is a setting for the action and characters whose story we follow. Here, guests are the primary characters immersed in an extremely vivid, authentic experience."
