New investment puts Federation Entertainment en route to become “leading European studio”

Federation Entertainment, the parent company of Cottonwood Media and Federation Kids and Family, has raised €16 million to accelerate its growth in France and abroad.

The funding was completed through a minority funding round with Bpifrance which led the transaction, BNP Parobas Developpment, Amundi Private Equity Funds, Alliance Entreprendre and Entrepreneur Venture.

The transaction is in line with Federation Entertainment’s strong growth that has seen it become active in the drama, kids and family and light entertainment genres through series such as Find Me in Paris or Le Bureau de Legendes.

The funds raised will enable the company to launch even more ambitious and diverse projects as well as carry out external growth initiatives.

Pascal Breton, CEO and majority shareholder of Federation Entertainment, said: “I am very pleased to welcome this consortium of solid, cohesive companies close to the audiovisual sector as new investors in our company.

“After having put in place a number of innovative financing tools for production and distribution, notably with Anton Capital, we are taking a new step to strengthen the Federation’s capacity for long-term development.

“The objective is to support the organic growth of our investments in production and distribution while expanding our international presence, notably through acquisitions, in order to become one of the leading European studios, with a very active brand in the US.”
