New licence deals bring Pelé and other legends to FIFA 14

In its latest licensing deal, EA Sports is bringing legendary footballers such Pelé, Patrick Viera and Ruud Gullit to FIFA 14 Ultimate Team on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Fans will be able to craft their Ultimate Team with a mix of legendary players playing alongside contemporary heroes.

Each legend will feature unique attributes, showcasing the skills that projected them to legend status at the height of their careers, and will be randomly included in gold Packs in FIFA 14 Ultimate team, beginning with the launch of the Xbox One.

Included in the legends line-up are Dennis Bergkamp, Sol Campbell, Ruud Gillit, Fernando Hierro, Pelé, Teddy Sheringham and more.

Executive producer of FIFA 14, David Rutter, said: "Our fans will be able to bring stars from different eras together to create teams and combinations they have previously only dreamed about.

"For the first time ever, you will be able to play with Pelé and Messi in the same line-up. It is going to create a unique experience within our most popular game mode."

A FIFA 14 demo will launch worldwide for the Xbox 360 and PC from September 10th and for the Playstation 3 computer entertainment system on September 10th in North America and September 11th in Europe.
