Penguin Books, Smiffy's and Iron Gut on board, Random House deal extended.

New partners bolster Battersea licensing drive

Animal charity Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has added further licensees to its burgeoning programme.

New partners include Penguin Books, which will be publishing a collection of adult non fiction true life Battersea stories later in the year, and Iron Gut Publishing, which will have a range of limited edition art prints.

The Home is also increasing its ranges for children and has extended its publishing agreement with Random House for the Red Fox Young Fiction stories. It has also signed Smiffy’s for children’s and adult dress up.

Existing partners include Ravensburger, Marbel, Portico Designs, Flame Tree Publishing and Woodmansterne Publications.

The charity’s profile is at an all-time high with the transmission of the second series of Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs on ITV.

"We are delighted that our brand licensing programme is continuing to prove so popular and we are looking forward to seeing more books and products on shelf," said Lucy McCredie, licensing consultant for the Home.
