New stop motion show seeks broadcasters

A new live action/stop motion TV show is on the hunt for broadcasters and licensing partners.

Spain’s Imira Entertainment and Chile’s Zumbastico Studios’ are working on co-developing 52 fresh episodes of Horacio and the Plasticines.

The pre-school children’s programme is being distributed by Imira Entertainment internationally, which is representing the original series of 26 seven-minute episodes as well as the new series.

The concept was initially produced by Zumbastico Studios and Argentina’s Canal Pakapaka, before winning a grant from the Chilean TV Council Fund.

Christophe Goldberger, Producer and Head of Distribution and Marketing at Imira Entertainment, said: "Horatio and the Plasticines has great potential, in everything from the television series to the music, the interactive component to the consumer product opportunities. We are already seeking partnerships with broadcasters and licensing partners."

Gabriel Noe, CEO of Zumbastico Studios, added: "We are thrilled to be partnering with Imira on Horatio and the Plasticines, and we have already enjoyed a mutually beneficial partnership which we are confident will flourish as we continue to work together on this project."

The stop motion animation/live action production introduces Horatio and his box of lively plasticine strips, who each have a distinctive personality and serve as a source of advice in his adventures. 

The Plasticines are also musicians and frequently sing to explain life lessons.
