Nickelodeon tablet and Dora gaming app honoured.

Nickelodeon France bags brace of digital accolades

Viacom International Media Networks has received a brace of accolades for two of its Nickelodon kids’ licensing and digital properties in France.

The Nickelodeon tablet – aimed at three to ten year olds – has been awarded the prestigious label ‘Approved by Families 2015’ in the Products & Digital Leisure category.

The label is awared annually to the best products and services targeted at children, with each winner tested and approved by a jury of 5,000 French families.

The tablet was showcased at Kidexpo, which took place in October, and was also featured at Paris Game Week from October 29th to November 2nd.

In addition, Dora the Explorer won Best Gaming App at the Trophée Des Apps for her first ‘appisode’, Dora L’Exploratrice.

Organised by digital convergence strategists NPA Conseil, the awards recognise the best apps for smartphones and tablets in the French market.

This is the second victory in a row for VIMN France at the Trophée Des Apps. In 2013 it picked up Best Fun App for its multi-screen personalised TV channel, Mon Nickelodeon Jr.
