Nickelodeon launches immersive pre-school adventure game Nick Jr World

Nickelodeon has detailed the launch of an immersive new adventure game that brings together characters from across Nick Jr’s most popular pre-school properties and TV shows.

Called Nick Jr World, the game allows young players to create avatars of themselves and immersive themselves in the worlds of Blaze and the Monster Machines, Shimmer and Shine, Top Wing and Butterbean’s Cafe.

Landing on, the game allows kids to make these avatars from a possible 54 million character combinations, who can then traverse Nick Jr World to earn rewards and record their progress in a downloadable album.

Each of the worlds within the game have four different missions to be completed. The missions start with a briefing scene to explain what must be completed, all based on story-lines and visuals from the shows and characters.

In the first mission of the Shimmer and Shine world – the villain Zeta has hidden Genie Gems all over Zahramay Falls so she can cause chaos. It is up to the player and their avatar to find these genie gems while flying on a magic carpet. Once a player completes a mission, they will be rewarded with a custom made photo of themselves with the characters.

Suzie Adams, digital director at Nickelodeon UK & Ireland, commented: “Nick Jr. World is and exciting multi-property game that aims to enhance player’s experience with their favourite Nick Jr. characters, develop their problem solving skills and explore the different worlds.

“This interactive game demonstrates our commitment to developing immersive experiences with our hit properties by embodying Nick Jr.’s playful ethos.”

UK agency Complete Control built the immersive game that was launched in the UK this week and will roll out internationally in the coming months.
