The Nickelodeon network is refurbishing its Nickelodeon channel to coincide with the back to school season and the brand’s 20th year in the UK.
The refreshed look will see new interstitials that ‘mash-up’ popular Nickelodeon characters and will support the roster of new content rolling out on the network this autumn, including Sam & Cat and The Haunted Hathways.
New content included in the rebrand will feature voiceovers from Nickelodeon’s House of Anubis star, Brad Kavanagh.
"Having been in the UK for 20 years the Nickelodeon brand has now reached multiple generations and continues to be as fresh and relevant today as it was at launch by continuously evolving," said Tina McCann, managing director of Nickelodeon UK.
"The Nickelodeon brand is funny, surprising and irreverent, which is exactly what the brand refresh brings to life."
Nickelodeon’s online platform, www.nick.co.uk, will echo the channel’s new look while kids will be given the chance to have their say with a new blog section where fans can customise their own avatar, leave comments and share designed stamps.
Launched in 1993, Nickelodeon brings international and locally produced entertainment content to audiences in the UK and Ireland.
