On August 28th, fans will be able to side with either the Decepticons or the Autobots to engage in a 24 hour online Splatfest battle.

Nintendo and Hasbro partner for Transformers themed Splatoon Splatfest

Nintendo and Hasbro have joined forces to bring its Transformers’ Autobots and Decepticons to the hit Wii U videogame, Splatoon.

Thanks to the new partnership, fans will now be able to side with either the Autobots or Decepticons for the game’s themed events called Splatfests, and then compete against the opposing side in online battles.

A typical Splatfest celebration lasts 48 hours, during which players head into battle to try to rack up wins for their side. While a Splatfest is in full swing, players may wear special t-shirts that show which Transformers team they belong to.

The ink that each team shoots will also be customized to match the colour scheme of the chosen side.

The Transformers-themed Splatfest event is scheduled to run on August 28th through to August 29th and is open to all Wii U owners who have Splatoon and an Internet connection.
