The officially-licensed shark-slaying, city-saving co-operative game hopes to raise $49,999 by September 10th.

Official Sharknado board game hits Kickstarter

Devious Devices has partnered with Syfy and The Asylum to develop Sharknado: The Board Game.

The officially-licensed co-operative game has landed on Kickstarter with the goal of raising $49,999 by September 10th.

Based on the cult straight-to-TV movie series, the game sees players take on the role of brave citizens protecting a city from the Sharknado (a tornado made up of sharks).

There have now been four Sharknado movies to date – Sharknado, Sharknado 2: The Second One, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! and Sharknado: The 4th Awakens – and the franchise has already inspired an official video game, a comic book and the How to Survive a Sharknado tie-in book.
