Paddington has become StudioCanal’s biggest ever worldwide release.
The film’s worldwide gross to date stands at $241m, passed Non-Stop’s previous best of $236m.
Screen reports that the total includes an estimated $171m from international territories and $70m from the US, making Paddington the highest grossing family title of all time released by a non-US studio.
The film has made £37m in the UK, while France and Germany will end up around 3m and 2m admissions.
Other highlights include a $7m combined total in Russia and Ukraine, a $6.3m total in Scandinavia and over 2.4m admissions across 15 Latin American territories.
Paddington is still set to be released in China this week, Portugal on March 12th, Israel on March 26th, Thailand on March 28th and Japan in January 2016.
