Panini gets Turtle powered with Nick deal

Nickelodeon Global Publishing has signed a new partnership with Panini for its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles property.

As part of the collaboration, Panini has secured a magazine deal for key European markets including the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Russia, Poland and Italy.

The 32-page magazine – plus cover mounted premiums – will launch from May and will include original comic strip content, puzzles and features. Under a separate deal the magazine will also launch in Brazil.

In addition to the TV tie-in content, Panini will be publishing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics in Italy, Germany and Brazil. It has also picked up book publishing rights to the TV series tie-in content in Brazil and Germany.

A further deal for collectable rights on the property has been signed with Panini for Europe and Latin America, and will cover classic print collectables. These will include Panini’s sticker collections, trading cards and additional ancillary collectable items. Launches will roll out across markets starting from the spring.
