PBS Kids series Wild Kratts builds out licensing pack

The popular PBS Kids series, Wild Kratts is growing its roster of licensing partners to include debut fashions from C-Life Group and new published titles from Random House Children’s Books.

In a tranche of new deals for the animated series, PBS Distribution, Pressman, and Topix Media Lab are each preparing for a raft of new licensed launches. The Kratt Brothers Company will showcase its latest product line-up at this week’s Licensing Expo.

“Our great and growing list of Wild Kratts licensing partners are producing products that inspire children to explore the world around them and learn about the fascinating creatures in their own backyard and beyond,” said Chris Kratt, creator, producer and co-star of Wild Kratts and co-founder of Kratt Brothers Company.

“We’re so excited to be working with these companies to help encourage the love of animals and nature in our fans.”

New to the Wild Kratts family is C-Life Group, which is readying a line of toddler and children’s apparel for mid-tier and off-price retailers across North America this season.

Meanwhile, master publishing partner Random House Children’s Books is adding to the Wild Kratts book collection this year and next with the release of Lion Pride! and in spring 2020, Wild Dogs and Canines!

Also on the way in summer 2020 will be Wild Kratts: Big Book of Facts, which will feature more than 200 animals and explore their WOW Facts. Over one million Wild Kratts books have been sold to date.

PBS Distribution will debut the one-hour Halloween special Creepy Creatures, the newest Wild Kratts DVD on August 13, while Topix Media Lab will release new issues of its Parents’ Choice Award-winning Wild Kratts magazines every three to four months.

Kratt Brothers Company will also unveil a new easy-to-navigate Wild Kratts website later this year. The site will serve as a helpful hub for families of Wild Kratts fans and feature a directory of where to find licensed merchandise at retail, complete with direct purchase links, as well as a gift guide tab, extensive FAQ section, and activities for kids and parents to do together.

Each half-hour episode features the animated versions of the Kratt Brothers and their friends on expeditions with wild animals from around the world. Complete with animal-inspired gadgets and Creature Power Suits, the series follows Martin, Chris, Aviva and the gang as they get to know all of the animals on the planet.

Wild Kratts airs in 189 countries and is available in 44 languages.
