Penguin UK has acquired the world publishing rights to Skylanders Universe magazine.
The title is based on Skylanders Spyro’s Adventures, Skylanders Giants and Skylanders Swap Force video games.
The deal means that Penguin is taking its first steps into magazine publishing. It will work alongside brand owners Activision and Immediate Media, which will produce the global magazine content and distribute the title in the UK.
The first issue will launch in October, with 13 issue published yearly. Penguin has also begun coordinating with key partners to make the magazine available worldwide.

"The new magazine, like our Skylanders books, will give fans the chance to enjoy the story of the Skylanders beyond the game with fun, vibrant and engaging content."
