Publisher to exclusively sponsor the Blogger category.

Penguin Random House UK backs SuperAwesome’s Future8 Awards

Penguin Random House UK is partnering with SuperAwesome’s Future8 Awards to exclusively sponsor its Blogger Category for aspiring bloggers aged seven to 17.

Shannon Cullen, publisher at Puffin, will join the Future8 judges that also includes head of digital at Conde Nast, Wil Harris, UK lead at Hour of Code, Avid Larizadeh and head of WPP Ireland, JP Donnelly.

The purpose of the Future8 Awards is to give young people life-changing opportunities, and the winner of the Future8 Blogger Award will receive three “Special Correspondent” slots on the one of the blogs or online platforms that Penguin Random House UK uses to reach over two million readers every month.

The winner will also get expert insight via a series of three mentoring sessions from a member of the Penguin Random House UK Children’s digital marketing team as well as a bundle of fabulous books and merchandise

“Penguin Random House UK is delighted to be sponsoring the Blogger Award, said Cullen.

"There is no age barrier to creative storytelling, and we know that in today’s world exciting voices are just as likely to be found online as in the submissions pile. We’re very eager to support and encourage young bloggers, and to hear what they have to say, as we strive to publish the stories, writing and ideas that matter.”

Dylan Collins, CEO at SuperAwesome, added: “We are hugely excited to announce that Penguin Random House UK is sponsoring The Future8 Awards Blogger Category.

"Penguin Random House UK is home to some of the most creative talent globally, and this expertise is an invaluable addition to our judging and mentor panels. We look forward to working together to find the next star voice in the blogosphere.”

Created by SuperAwesome and launched in partnership with The Guardian, the Future8 Awards aims to find the top seven to 17 year old digital creators in the UK and Ireland.
