Penguin teams with BrickLive for The Snowman and the Snowdog tour

The Snowman and the Snowdog are to be immortalised in brick form – well, for just long enough to celebrate the festive season at least, thanks to a new partnership between Penguin Ventures and Bricklive.

Together, the pair will produce a new Christmas activation for The Snowman and The Snowdog in the form of a ‘magical new tour’ inspired by the much-loved animated film, and the sequel to Raymond Briggs’ classic picture book, The Snowman.

The Snowman and The Snowdog brick trail will consist of 16 models, including four large models for memorable photo opportunities, and 12 smaller models to create an interactive treasure trail, made from brightly coloured toy bricks.

Banham Zoo is the first UK venue to be announced as a host for the 2019 launch of The Snowman and The Snowdog official Bricklive tour, launching on Friday, November 29, 2019 at an exclusive event to the zoos annual pass holders and then open to the general public from Saturday, November 30 running through till Sunday, January 5 2020.

Thomas Merrington, creative director at Penguin Ventures, said: “We are always looking at how we can bring our classic characters to family audiences in new and unexpected ways and partnering with Bricklive does exactly that. The sculptures show incredible attention to detail and we are excited to see this trail come to life.”
