Former WWE exec Casey Collins becomes Hasbro's new VP and GM of global consumer products

Collins has assumed the role from Simon Waters, who will be taking up a new role as senior vice president and general manager of Hasbro’s recently acquired Power Rangers franchise.

Hasbro has named Casey Collins its new senior vice president and general manager of global consumer products.

Collins has assumed the role from Simon Waters, who will be taking up a new role as senior vice president and general manager of Hasbro’s recently acquired Power Rangers franchise.

“Over the past eight years, Simon has done an excellent job building our global consumer products business, consistently delivered excellent results and taking our brands into innumerable new categories and venues,” said John Frascotti, president, Hasbro.

“Simon’s experience leading consumer products, combined with his highly valued franchise thinking, creative vision, and entertainment experience make him the ideal person to lead the Power Rangers team and ensure full activation of the Power Rangers brand globally across our brand blueprint.

“Meanwhile, Casey brings decades of experience and leadership in the licensing industry to the Hasbro team. He is a highly skilled and experienced licensing professional with an impressive track record of leading high performing teams and delivering consistently outstanding results.

“We are excited to welcome him to the Hasbro family and look forward to his leadership as our global consumer products business continues to expand around the world.”

Collins most recently held the position of executive vice president, consumer products with Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment, where he was responsible for monetising fan engagement across global licensing, e-commerce, venue merchandise, gaming and home entertainment.

Collins was also the executive vice president, global licensing and entertainment at MGA Entertainment and the former head of domestic licensing and head of international licensing at Lucasfilm.

The move comes as the global toymaker looks to strengthen the activity across some of Hasbro’s leading brands such as My Little Pony, Transformers and the recently acquired Power Rangers, as well as its gaming portfolio that includes Monopoly, as well as Nerf, Play-Doh, Baby Alive and Furreal.
