Samantha Kelly joins Target

After stints with Dreamworks and Universal, Kelly takes on head of licensing role at TEG.

Target Entertainment Group has appointed Samantha Kelly as the new head of its licensing and merchandising division.

Reporting to global brand director Helen Howells, Kelly's role will include managing the licensing team, implementing the UK and international licensing and merchandising strategies across all properties, managing key categories in the UK market and overseeing UK retail relationships and all agent relationships.

Prior to joining Target, Kelly was head of European licensing and promotions for Dreamworks Animation Consumer Products. Before this, she was UK licensing director for Universal Studios Consumer Products, covering properties such as King Kong and Hulk.

Kelly also spent four years at Warner Bros Consumer Products, with responsibility for apparel, household and automotive categories on properties including Looney Tunes and Batman.

"I'm delighted Sam is joining the Target team," commented Howells. "She brings with her a wealth of experience and I'm really looking forward to working with her to take our licensing and merchandising business to the next level."

Kelly replaces Shelley Kerridge, who has left the company to go travelling.
