Target Entertainment has appointed Helen Howells to the newly created role of global brand director. She was formerly director of international licensing at Target.
Howell's brief is to commercially drive Target's brands across all platforms and media on a global basis, devising 360 degree rights exploitation strategies for properties across all genres and media.
She will work with all Target's departments, including TV, film, licensing and DVD.
Howells will also work closely with Sarah Walker, Target's director of marketing and communications, to develop and implement consistent brand messages and marketing strategies for each property and department.
Alison Rayson, chief executive at Target, said: "Helen's background and expertise make her ideally placed for this crucial role. We need to ensure profile is raised and revenues are maximised - cross platform and globally - across all Target's brands and Helen is the perfect person to drive that strategy."
