Universal Brand Development has named Marisa Marti as its vice president, international softlines for consumer products.

In the newly created role, Marti will oversee the international product and go to market strategy and identify new retail partnership opportunities in the fashion and home categories.

Universal Brand Development’s current in-market softlines team members will report into Marti as well as to their local country heads, In addition, Marti will assist in unlocking softlines opportunities in the company’s agent markets.

“With extensive experience in the fashion industry, Marisa will drive expansion for Universal Brand Development’s existing properties with strategic initiatives to bring high-quality fashion and home collections to retail,” said Marc Low, SVP and general manager, international consumer products at Universal Brand Development.

“We are excited to expand both our footprint and creativity in these important business categories across the globe.”

Marti was most recently VP and general manager, Spain and Portugal at Disney COnsumer Products and Retail, where she held a variety of fashion and softline roles over the course of 20 years.
