Peppa Pig jumps into Hunter partnership

Muddy Puddles will present no further concern for Peppa Pig and the gang thanks to a new partnership between the popular pre-school brand and fashion brand, Hunter.

While that laboured joke is an indication that someone at Licensing.biz has spent far too long surrounded by the Peppa brand, it also highlights the latest move for the pre-school IP as it celebrates its 15th anniversary with a line up of global partners.

The collaboration between Entertainment One and Hunter will see an entire collection of footwear and accessories for children launch, with designs featuring the show’s much-loved characters, Peppa and her brother George.

The deal will span a range of rain boots, backpacks and umbrellas in three different colour ways.

“There’s a natural synergy between these two British brands that makes this partnership the perfect fit.” said Andrew Carley, EVP Global Licensing at eOne Family & Brands.

“The vibrant collection that Hunter has designed will create must-have items for Peppa’s many fans and we look forward to making a big splash at retail when the products launch in key markets this summer.”

The Hunter x Peppa Pig collection of accessories and boots includes the new Kids Grab Handle Wellington boots, designed so that small hands can pull them on by themselves.

Ranging from £30 to £45, it is aimed at children aged two to five and will be available in UK, North America, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Scandinavia, France and Italy in July this year.

“At the core of a great Hunter experience is fun, adventure and preferably a muddy puddle. I can think of no better partner to bring this spirit to life than Peppa Pig.” said Alasdhair Willis, Creative Director at Hunter.

The partnership coincides with the launch of new episodes including a two-part celebratory special, where Peppa and George have their first festival experience, something that is central to the DNA of Hunter.
