PIMM’S partners with England’s oldest jam makers for special summer preserve

That Great British summertime favourite, PIMM’S has partnered with England’s oldest family-owned jam makers, Deurr’s to launch a special edition Strawberry, Tangerine and Mint flavoured preserve.

The agreement was brokered by PIMM’S brand extension licensing agency, Beanstalk just in time for summer.

The new fruity jam will combine PIMM’S No.1 with sweet strawberries and juicy tangerines with a hint of mint to create a taste that mirrors the iconic British tipple. Serving suggestions from the firm include ‘adding the delectable preserve to scones for a new way to enjoy afternoon tea’ or as a ‘modern spin on the classic Victoria sponge cake.’

PIMM’S Strawberry, Tangerine & Mint preserve will be available in 330g jars from the beginning of July at Waitrose and Asda UK stores. The preserve contains four per cent PIMM’S No.1 spirit drink.

Lizzy Forster, senior brand manager, PIMM’S, said: “PIMM’S and jam are both iconic British traditions, and we’re thrilled to bring them together with our new fruity preserve. The jam is the ideal way to add a taste of summer to any occasion – simply dollop generously onto scones with lashings of clotted cream – perfect.”

Lisa Reiner, managing director of Beanstalk for Europe and Asia Pacific, added: “PIMM’S No. 1 is recognised for being the quintessential British summer drink. It’s unique flavour translates perfectly into other sweet treats that allow consumers to enjoy their favourite summer drink in new ways, year round.

“Duerr’s, which has been perfecting its preserves since 1881, is the ideal partner to create a unique sweet preserve showcasing PIMM’S distinct flavours of strawberries, tangerines and mint.”
