Schedule re-shuffle follows 2014's The Good Dinosaur delay after director exits project

Pixar pushes Finding Dory back to 2016

Filming delays in Pixar’s schedule have resulted in the Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory, being pushed back to 2016, as the animation studio announces ‘no movie for 2014’, states The Hollywood Reporter.

The shift follows news that The Good Dinosaur – scheduled for release next year – is looking at delays of nearly 18 months as director Bob Peterson exits the project.

The resulting shuffle sees Disney’s Maleficent open in its place on May 30th 2014, meaning next year will be the first time since 2005 that Pixar hasn’t had a film out.

Thee studio’s high profile Finding Dory will now not open until June 17, 2016, opposite DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon 3.
