Planeta Junior has signed as the exclusive representative of the animated series, BondiBand across the EMEA territories.
The new agreement will see the firm handle all broadcasting platforms and the licensing and merchandising management of the series from its offices in Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Athens and Prague.
The series, co-produced by Exim Licensing Group, Leda Films and Mondo TV Spain, has already seen success in Asia and Latin America, following the broadcasting of the series on Disney XD Latam, Free TV, Teleamazonas, Televisa, Bandeirantes and Telefe.
Following the story of six rock students that transform into superheroes, BondiBand is now aiming to generate the same achievement in Europe.
Alongside TV presence, the brand has generated thousands of fans through social media YouTube, nearing one million online screenings.
Planeta Junior and BondiBand will now work together to adapt the content locally to increase online traffic.
Elias Hofman, BondiBand and Exim Licensing Group’s CEO, said: "We are delighted to have a group such as Planeta Junior on board with us to represent BondiBand in the EMEA region.
"With their knowledge and strong local presence, the synergies that we could create with our own offices should enhance even more the BondiBand’s possibilities of success."
Diego Ibanez, international commercial director at Planeta Junior, added: "BondiBand is a property that beautifully complements our portfolio of animation, for a target that is very hard to engage in recent times.
"At Planeta Junior, we are convinced that BondiBand is extremely funny, disrupting and features a talented licensing program, that very few companies as Exim Licensing Group can create."
