The entertainment company has teamed with US distilled spirits company Heaven Hill to launch the new branded line.

Playboy launches Blackheart Playboy Edition spiced rum

Playboy enterprises has partnered with the US distilled spirits company, Heaven Hill to produced its first line of branded Spiced Rum.

With the tagline “Seduction in a Bottle”, the Blackheart Playboy Edition features the image of the Blackheart character reimagined as a Playboy Playmate.

The new line will be available across the US from this autumn and will be supported with advertising through Playboy’s various platforms including within the Playboy magazine, and Playboy social media.

In-store, the bottle will be supported with a Blackheart Playboy Bunny display, bottle neck hanger and more.

“This is a unique twist on a great product that will play well with the core fans of both Playboy and Blackheart,” said Hannah Venhoff, Blackheart brand manager.

“We are excited by the opportunity to expand our partnership with Playboy and enhance our marketing efforts in a way that benefits both brands.”

Matt Nordby, Playboy Enterprises’ president of global licensing, added: “Playboy is excited to join forces with Blackheart, a best-in-class spirits partner, for the limited release of Blackheart Playboy edition.

“The specially curated rum epitomizes an edgy, bold lifestyle which is aligned with the Playboy brand heritage, and is designed to appeal to both current and new generations of rum drinkers.”
