Interactive production firm to develop own IP with pre-school brand, Tee and Mo.

Plug-in Media grabs first Cbeebies commission

BAFTA award winning interactive production company, Plug-in Media, has begun developing its own IP with its first commission from Cbeebies.

The firm will produce a suite of online games for pre-school 2D animation Tee and Mo.

Aimed at two to four year-olds, Tee and Mo focuses on the daily adventures of an unstoppable baby monkey, Tee, and his mum, Mo. The goal is to explore everyday situations through the point of view of the bond between small children and new mums, and how they learn to be kids and mums together.

Plug-in Media will look to create a suite of narrative-driven digital toys for desktop and mobile. Each activity will be designed as a two-player experience, encouraging the toddler and grown up to form a team and stimulating imaginative play.

"Plug-in Media has a wealth of experience in creating and developing interactive digital entertainment for children and families," explained Dominic Minns, creative director at Plug-in Media. "We have always prided ourselves on producing exceptional interactive content for other people’s brands and this has spurred us on to take our next strategic step as a company and start creating original IP such as Tee and Mo.

"We believe that the current kids’ entertainment space is ripe for new forms of cross media content."
