The licensed clothing specialist, Poetic Brands has signed a new agreement to develop apparel based around some of Universal Pictures’ most iconic IP.
Adult clothing such as nightwear will now launch, based on some of Universal’s most enduring brands, including Back to the Future, Jaws, Despicable Me, Trolls, ET and a selection of horror classics.
Universal is recognised as one of the world’s biggest and best known film studios – and the oldest surviving studio in the US. Since it was founded in 1912, the studio has looked to push the boundaries of movie-making.
Its classics portfolio span the likes of early silent hits such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Phantom of the Opera, through to modern-day global blockbusters like The Grinch and The Fast and Furious franchise.
“We are delighted to have signed this new agreement,” says Elliott Matthews of Poetic Brands.
“Universal is one the biggest names in the film world, with a huge breadth of classic brands in its portfolio. We can’t wait to get stuck in with creating apparel lines that will tap into this rich history.”
