The licensed clothing specialist Poetic Brands has just signed a deal with British Motor Heritage Limited to produce a range of products based on four UK motoring brands – Rover, Austin, Austin-Healey and MG.
Harking back to the golden era of British motoring, the deal aims to tap into current trends for nostalgia and heritage, particularly among motor enthusiasts, keen on reliving the golden era, in which iconic cars such as the Austin A40, MG Midget, and Austin-Healey Sprite ruled the roads.
The unmistakable logos of these four classic brands are still recognisable today and have a huge amount of retro appeal. Poetic Brands will be using imagery associated with all four brands to produce a range of apparel for adults.
“We are very excited to be working with these classic motoring brands,” said Elliott Matthews of Poetic Brands. “All four have gone through various logo designs over the years, which gives us some fantastic imagery to work with and we’ll be able to create an apparel range that stands out and has real appeal to motoring fans.”
Poetic Brands will be working with the team at LMI who have been developing the British Motor Heritage Licensing programme for a number of years.
