ProSiebenSat.1 named German licensing agent for Danger Mouse

FreemantleMedia Kids & Family has named ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing as licensing agent for the Danger Mouse brand in Germany.

ProSiebenSat.1 will represent the new rebooted version that launched on Nickelodeon Germany last year as well as the classic animated series which airs of Netflix.

“We are thrilled to have signed ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing to represent Danger Mouse in German speaking territories," said Tracy Griffiths VP licensing & consumer products, EMEA & Australia FremantleMedia Kids & Family.

"The original series was very popular in Germany and combined with ProSiebenSat.1’s licensing expertise we are confident that Danger Mouse will deliver another successful mission in Europe’s biggest market.”

“Our ambition is for our brand to follow people throughout their lives, from infant to old age. Danger Mouse is an important step in this direction," added Robert Merkel, managing director of ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing.

"With its mix of retro and a new style for the current TV series, the cartoon classic is an excellent fit for our franchise portfolio. We are looking forward to working successfully with FremantleMedia Kids & Family, a premium content company."

Toy distribution in the region will be handled by global master toy partner Jazwares, whilst ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing will be looking to secure best-in-class partners in the region in all other major categories.

Danger Mouse is co-produced by CBBC and FremantleMedia Kids and Family and is animated by Boulder Media. FremantleMedia Kids & Family owns the global TV and licensing rights to the series, which has now been sold into 100+ territories.
