Genius Brands International has signed the first key European broadcast deal for the first season of Rainbow Rangers with the Italian children’s network, Cartoonito. The pre-school channel is a joint venture between Turner and RTI Mediaset.
Rainbow Rangers is now being dubbed in Italian for Cartoonito, bringing the adventures of the show’s cast of seven girls charged with protecting the world’s animals, resources and people to the Italian audience. Since premiering on Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. in the US in November 2018, the series has garnered top ratings with kids ages two to five. In addition to Nick Jr. in the US, Nickelodeon, and Noggin in Latin America, and Cartoonito in Italy, Genius Brands is currently in negotiations with broadcasters around the world, which will be announced shortly.
