Rainbow’s Maggie & Bianca readies for global premiere this month

Rainbow is preparing to make its first foray into live-action production with the global premiere of Maggie & Bianca: Fashion Friends.

Following a successful debut at this year’s Giffoni Film Festival, the first episode is scheduled to screen across Italy on August 29th.

According to Rainbow, the Italian content studio behind hit series such as Winx Club and Regal Academy, the series has ‘already caught the attention of licensees and TV companies alike.’

A pan-European master toy agreement has been signed with Simba, while the studio is currently in talks with TV companies across the world.

The series follows the friendship of Maggie and Bianca, two fashion focused students who discover a number of secrets that will change their lives forever.

‘There is a huge marketing plan in place to support the release of the show,’ read a statement from the firm.

This will include street activities, TV appearances from the cast and live concert events for teens.
