DHX Media has launched a new Rastamouse app titled ‘Ride Da Riddim’.
The producer, distributor and licensor of kids’ entertainment content brings its hit pre-school brand to new platforms today, including iPhone.
The skateboarding app game, priced at £1.99 on the iTunes Store, is based on the TV show produced by The Rastamouse Company which airs in the UK on CBeebies.
Players can adventure through Mouseland with Rastamouse and his ‘Da Easy Crew’ band, in order to ‘Make A Bad Ting Good’ in the community. They must collect as much cheese as possible.
There are four unique tricks for each character (Rastamouse, Scratchy or Zoomr), along with five ‘ever-changing worlds’.
In recent deals, DHX Media worked with Ty Beanies to create a Rastamouse beanie toy, which is now available in retailers Harrods, Cards Galore and Trocadero.
DHX Media has also just closed a deal with PMS International to create a range of plush, gift and novelty products for theme parks, holiday parks, amusement arcades, service stations, funfairs and family entertainment centres.
A statement read: "These deals further extend the Rastamouse consumer products push which has encompassed CDs, DVDs, books, plush toys, play-sets and musical toys, PJs and underwear, iPad/iPhone covers and posters and stickers, as well as hats and scarves in the past year."
