Focus Features will distribute the film in the US.

Ratchet & Clank movie to arrive in April 2016

Focus Features has been appointed as the US theatrical distributor for the Ratchet & Clank movie.

The film, based on the hit video game franchise, will land in US cinemas on April 29th, 2016.

Film Financial Services, who organised co-financing for the film, will arrange P&A financing.

Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorne, Rosario Dawson and Sylvester Stallone will voice characters in the upcoming movie, alongside James Arnold Taylor (voicing Ratchet) and David Kaye (voicing Clank).

Insomniac Games founder and CEO Ted Price said: "Everyone at Insomniac is thrilled that Ratchet & Clank will be shared in cinemas around the world with new and longtime fans alike.

"It’s been particularly exciting to collaborate closely with PlayStation, Rainmaker and Blockade on character design, story, animation, game asset sharing and marketing support to ensure an authentic Ratchet & Clank intergalactic adventure."

Since the first Ratchet & Clank video game was released in November 2002, the franchise has sold over 26 million copies worldwide.
