Henri Le Worm has launched its first cookery app for kids with a star studded unveiling at international chef Raymond Blanc’s restaurant, Brasserie Blanc.
Industry professionals, journalists and bloggers joined actor and voice of Henri Le Worm, Simon Pegg for a breakfast launch with an exclusive cooking lesson from Raymond Blanc himself.
Blanc’s Covent Garden restaurant also played host to a collection of children’s entertainers and goodie bags.
The app, The Missing Cookbook, represented globally by Rizon Studios is an educational cookery app developed to help reconnect children with food and features specially created recipes from Blanc, interactive games, facts and music.
Created by the renowned chef’s son Olicver Blanc and actress Charlotte Salt, the app is already proving popular in the UK and US.
"The App launch couldn’t have gone better," said Natasha Dyson, VP licensing at Rizon Studios. "Children were captivated by the content within the App and thoroughly enjoyed the hands on cooking demonstration from Raymond Blanc.
"We’re delighted to be working with Oli and Charlotte on the licensing of Henri Le Worm. Seeing the excitement today at the event, we’re positive Henri Le Worm will be a huge success."
The app boasts a collection of stories, garden characters and songs, as well as over one hundred educational food facts, and is now available on iTunes for iPad and iPad Mini.
