The Children’s Media Conference attracted its highest number of delegates to this year’s event – up a healthy 11 per cent from the previous year.
Some 1,001 delegates came through the doors of the Sheffield venue, with a record number of international guests also attending.
CMC had general theme of Child@Heart and featured keynote addresses from SuperAwesome CEO Dylan Collins; Malorie Blackman, Waterstones Children’s Laureate; and Mind Candy founder, Michael Acton Smith.
In addition, over 600 meetings were held during the International Exchange – which aims to bring together IP owners, producers, writers, interactive media specialists and service providers from the UK with broadcasters, distributors and funding agencies, and producers seeking co-production potential from around the world.
"CMC provides a vital platform for both the local and international children’s media community, and we are constantly growing and extending the scope of the conference to include both a more international attendance, as well as new spheres of content," said Greg Childs, editorial director of Children’s Media Conference.
"Transmedia, the potential of mobile and the educational sector in particular were all spotlighted at this year’s event, and we look forward to continuing collectively drawing on the vanguard of the industry in 2015."
Next year’s Children’s Media Conference will run from July 1st to 3rd, 2015.
