Redan Publishing launches first magazine for toddlers

Redan Publishing has launched a new compilation magazine, aimed solely at the toddler market.

Called Fun To Learn First Friends, the new title will feature characters from popular children’s books such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Elmer, as well as TV series like Abney & Teal and Woolly & Tig.

Fun To Learn First Friends has been devised to offer parents encouragement and support in the early stages of their child’s development. Each issue will contain stories, rhymes and activities designed at fostering key learning skills, with notes for parents on how to inspire their children.

The first issue of the new title will feature a Very Hungry Caterpillar tea set for active role play and will include the first part of a collectable Elmer height chart and a Spot first words poster.

There will also be Gruffalo Trunkis and In the Night Garden goodies up for grabs, as well as a gallery of young readers’ own artwork.

The first issue of the new toddler magazine will be available from July 8th 2015 and will retail for £2.99.

“We have been developing the Fun To Learn First Friends concept for some time, as the magazine needs to entertain and inspire both very young children and their carers,” said Julie Jones, joint MD at Redan Publishing.

“We have always felt there was a gap in the market for this type of high quality publication and we have worked hard to get a character line-up and content mix that feels exactly right for a title that we hope will be many readers’ first ever magazine experience.

“We are absolutely delighted with how it looks and hope that the mixture of well-known characters and early learning skills will be a hit with adults and children alike.”
