Reebok details its ‘Alien Stompers’ for sci-fi franchise’s 40th anniversary

Footwear brand Reebok is getting in on the Alien Day celebrations this year, with the relaunch of an exclusive replica pair of trainers as worn by Ripley in the sequel, Aliens.

With a number of subtle nods to the franchise and its fandom, the replica trainers are a true representation of the depth of fan following the 40 year old sci-fi franchise enjoys today.

The shoes have been officially dubbed the Alien Stompers and they land 40 years after the release of the sci-fi cult classic, Alien. This unisex prototype edition of the Alien Stomper boots now aim to take fans on the sci-fi franchise on a trip down nostalgia lane.

The 40th Anniversary Alien Stomper is an upgraded take on the classic 1986 silhouette, featuring premium-lather construction and a ‘from the vaults’ appearance.

The trainers take Alien fandom to the next level, with details and references to a host of pre-production designs and logos that were not actually used in the film’s final production. The trainers will also arrive with a raft of Alien products.

These will include a certificate of authenticity, backed by the name of the Weylan-Yutani corporation (the fictional corporation within the Alien franchise), custom dust bags for protecting the trainers, an official ‘Bug Stomping’ field guide, and three unique hang tags, including the Weylan-Yutani logo and an official Alien 40th Anniversary badge.
