Toy giant Mattel has announced an organistional restructure within its European consumer products team.
There will now be a single head of consumer products for Core Europe, "aligning both the markets and functions across the region".
Maria Maranesi takes on the new role of Senior Director of Mattel Consumer Products, Europe. She will be supported by regional category teams and newly strengthened country teams.
Marianna Helmer-Gregersen has also been promoted to Senior Manager for European Hard Lines.
And Helena Mansell-Stopher will become Mattel’s UK & Nordic Consumer Products Territory Lead. She will head up the UK team, which consists of:
– Maja Elliott, Licensing Manager Hard Lines
– Simta Sawhney, Senior Consumer Products Associate responsible for Soft Lines and Publishing
– Catrina O’Brian, Retail Development Manager
– Maria Fjordholt, Consumer Products Coordinator Nordics
– Clare Brooks, Consumer Products Coordinator UK
– Emma Stuttaford, Consumer Products Intern UK
Maranesi, Senior Director of Mattel Consumer Products for Europe, said: “Through this organisational changewe are achieving synergies across Europe by establishing strategic regional teams, whilst maintaining market based teams that focus on excellence in delivery in the marketplace.
“Furthermore, we are strengthening our capabilities in fields that will help us grow our business sustainably in the years to come; whether developing our category expertise in hardlines, softlines and publishing or through digital excellence, first-class insights and state-of-the-art execution at the point of sale.”
A statement added: "Consumer Products will continue to be a key pillar for Mattel and the new structure will bring not only further alignment and strategy, but also scale to markets across Europe and stronger licensing and retailer partnerships opportunities."
