Aykroyd & Sons has been recognised for its hard work by Marks & Spencer, with the retailer presenting the firm with Best Character Product 2011 at its recent Childrenswear Supplier Awards conference.

The company's David Aykroyd and Pauline Lonsdale picked up the honour for the JLS girls pyjamas (pictured).

"I am delighted to have been presented with this award," Aykroyd commented. "It recognises all the hard work from the team. Times are very tough within the clothing industry at present, so it's very gratifying to be recognised here.

"We hope to continue with our very good relationship with Marks & Spencer in developing exciting nightwear and must-have licences for them."
