BBC Worldwide is enjoying success in a range of categories with its Charlie and Lola property - in particular in apparel, with big name retailers reporting strong sales.

Some 25 licensees are now signed to the brand, with a new style guide in development for the apparel and accessories categories. Charlie and Lola is already the best selling clothing property for girls in the Sainsbury's TU range, while it is now in the top three best girls licences for Marks & Spencer.

In addition, the recently released Pinny Set (pictured) is one of M&S' best selling character skus so far this year.

As well as apparel, exclusive Portico stationery ranges have been developed for Boots and WHS, while there are also plans to extend Charlie and Lola into the digital arena, with an iPhone/iPad app launching later this year.

On top of this, Charlie and Lola's Best Bestest Play by Watershed Productions continues its UK run, ending on April 23rd in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
