Children's licensed toiletries brand H&A has raised £2,500 for its charity partner, Kipcheria Orphanage in Bungoma, Kenya, through a sponsored cycle.
18 members of staff pedalled a commendable 4,210 miles in total - a distance equivalent to that between the York-based business and the Kenyan town - on static bikes to raise the money.
The effort took a total of three weeks, with each member of staff cycling around 20 miles per day on bikes situated at the firm's headquarters.
The orphanage is still under construction and is set to be ready for the first group of children next month.
The money raised has funded ten bunk beds and 20 mattresses for the children.
Holly Davies, marketing manager at H&A, said: "With H&A being expert in children's toiletries, it seems only fitting that our chosen charity is one which helps young people.
"The partnership with Kipcheria Orphanage was forged by our managing director, Angela Hall, through her link with the charity Bungoma Calling, which has overseen the build of new Kipcheria orphanage.
"We're all very proud of our fundraising efforts and we hope to continue to support this worthwhile cause on a long term basis."
