Warming up for Licensing International, The Jim Henson Company licensing programme has gone into overdrive. The firm has finalised a series of worldwide licences and new agents have also been signed.

UK t-shirt company Truffle Shuffle has signed a licence For Labyrinth, the iconic eighties fantasy film starring David Bowie.
Fraggle Rock, which currently airs on The Hub, has signed Fipo Group for apparel in the Nordics, Smart Marketing Promocional in Spain for housewares, Loud Clothing and J Fox Limited for apparel in the UK and Ireland. Somerbond will make accessories in the UK. New agents include Alphanim in France, Segal Licensing in Canada and Carmen Ariza in for all of Europe except France, the UK and the Nordic Region.
For Dinosaur Train, French deals include Alcara for charms, frames and collectibles, ATM in bags and accessories, Bagtrotter for back-to-school, Editions Gladius for games, CCI for footwear and France Television for story books and activity books, Beltex for home wares and TV Mania for apparel. Nelostuote Oy will make games for Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. In Norway, publisher Cappelen Damm AS will make audio and story books.
Across Latin America new Dinosaur Train licensees in Brazil include Art Bag Rio Comércio for back-to-school, Editora Fundamento for story books, Emporium de Ideias for stickers and albums, activity and colouring books, G Baby for apparel, and Alphafestas for party goods. In Argentina, the Company has signed with Daysal SRL for lunch boxes and lunch sets. and Editorial Atlantida SA, for storybooks, colouring and sticker books and magazines in Uruguay and Paraguay.
For Sid the Science Kid new publishing deals include Actes Sud and SDP – Le Livre Club for France, Belgium and Switzerland, Editorial Vertice for Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and Peru. In Brazil, Editora Fundamento was signed for Publishing. In Korea, Cake was also brought on for publishing. A party goods licence was signed with Party Express for Chile.
For Skatelab, Segal Licensing has been appointed as the Company’s agent for the brand in Canada. New licences include Tennessee for back-to-school in France and Leisurewear International for the UK for apparel. In Australia Caprice Australia are on board for housewares, Hot Springs for apparel and TMI Australia and Vimwood Australia for accessories.
Agents involved include Alicom, Alphanim, Borazone, Carmen Ariza, Exim, Ignition Licensing, Rocket Licensing, Wild Pumpkin and Segal Licensing.
