Monty Bojangles bags Britvic deal for Robinsons

Firm to create first ever confectionery line based on well-known squash drink.

Natural sweet creator, Monty Bojangles, has partnered with Britvic to create a new range of sweets licensed under the Robinsons brand.

Tesco will be the first retailer to stock the hanging bag range from June to coincide with Wimbledon. The line will include Traditional Robinsons Orange & Lemon Barley boiled sweets, Classic squash flavour boiled sweets and a Tropical range.

"We're very excited to have entered into a licensing agreement for our Robinsons brand," said David Hayes, director of innovation at Britvic. "This new range of sweets, which is based on everyone's favourite Robinsons squash flavours and made with real fruit juice, is certain to be a big hit with consumers who are looking to treat themselves."

Andrew Newlands and Pamela Bateman from Honeycomb Project Management - which owns the Monty Bojangles range - added: "We are delighted to be working with such a famous British brand as Robinsons."
