Pyramid reports surge in Michael Jackson products

Company sees uplift in sales of posters following King of Pop's death.

Pyramid International has reported an unprecedented surge in demand for commemorative Michael Jackson merchandise following the singer's death last month.

The company picked up the Michael Jackson poster licence at the beginning of 2006, and since thne has expanded its line to include art prints, postcards, button badges, stickers and rubber keychains.

it has now launched three commemorative posters, which will only be available in a special poster bin display in the UK.

"We have seen a huge increase in orders from customers both in the UK and from around the world as they respond to growing consumer demand," said Mordy Benaiah, licensing manager at Pyramid.

"The network of companies within the Pyramid International group - which includes Pyramid USA, Hole in the Wall in Benelux and Impact in Australia - means that we provide a direct supply route into most of the world's leading retailers and they all want Michael Jackson merchandise," Benaiah added.
