RDF's Yo Gabba Gabba heads Down Under

Host of licensing deals secured for popular property in Australia.

RDF Kids has revealed a raft of new Yo Gabba Gabba licensing deals in Australia.

Broadcast on ABC and Nick Jr in the country, the show was the number one ranked children's programme watched by kids under the age of four for 2008 (source: OzTam, 5 City Metro, 01/01/08-13/12/08).

RDF Kids has now signed Merchantwise as the agent for the property in Australia. The firm has already secured over ten licensees including Funtastic (footwear and fashion accessories), Caprice (bedding), Hunter Leisure (stationery, arts and crafts) and Brand Direct (swimwear and headwear).

In addition, Funtastic will distribute the Spin Master toy line. Simon and Schuster is the publishing partner, while ABC Roadshow will handle the DVD rights.

Also, Australia will debut the Yo Gabba Gabba Live Show, kicking off at the Sydney Olympic Sports Centre on May 15th. It will then head to Brisbane and Melbourne. In keeping with the TV show, the live event will feature a local band and guest stars.

Finally, leading department store Myer will exclusively launch a children's fashion programme across all stores in March.
